Zenoah G230 Falcon3 23cc Tuning engine
The Zenoah G230 has been used for many years at national and international on-road competitions in the 1.5 class. In the G230 the edits and changes bring out the maximum power. With this engine, the cylinder is mounted on the crankcase with two bolts. The G230 is 23 cc and has a stroke of 28 mm.
With the Falcon3 operations, we also take into account durability, reliability and fuel consumption, without having to make any concessions in terms of power. The first step is to completely disassemble the motor to measure everything so that the fits are optimal. We also measure in advance the squish, (read anti denodetonation gap), between the piston and the cylinder at b.d.p., or top dead center. That way we can choose the thickness of the base gasket to use in advance to keep that clearance between 0.5 and 0.6 mm
We then check the thickness of the crankshaft pins to see if the entire crankshaft meets our requirements. These should have an ideal thickness to allow the crankshaft to move smoothly in the bearings. 9 out of 10 times this needs to be adjusted. The 3rd step is to edit the piston and cylinder, adjusting the port diagram for maximum performance. After fitting, the whole is reassembled using our line gaskets. The 4th step is to balance the flywheel and adjust the cooling fins.
Technical improvements:
- Align crank shaft and sharpen when necessary
- Edit Piston
- Edit Cylinder, (Flush Ports, Exhaust Port and Squish)
- Balancing and Editing Flywheel
- Finishing with quality gaskets
- Check carburetor for vacuum
- Built by professionals

Explanation of different carburetors:
- WT603B Standard carburetor with choke
- WT603BBB Standard carburetor with choke, the gas valve shaft is double ball-beared
- WT990 Optional carburetor without choke
- WT990BB Optional carburetor without choke, the gas valve shaft is double ball-beared
Engine running in:
- 1) Use 1:25 fuel mixture, 40 cc good quality 2-stroke oil on one litre 98 Octane fuel
- 2) Carb needles both 1 1/4 turn open
- 3) Start first time let it run at idle for 2 minutes until is had normal temperature
- 4) Run first tank of fuel normal but without reaching high speed, this will take approx 45 minutes
- 5) Let it completely cool down
- 6) Run second tank of fuel, now start reaching high speed shortly, this will take approx 40 minutes
- 7) Let it completely cool down
- 8) Visual check in exhaust port, check for leakage
- 9) Third tank drive it like you normal would do, but still reaching high speed shortly, but building, this will take approx 35 minutes
