Despite the enormous power, the bike feels light and agile and reacts sensitively to all control impulses - as if it were a part of you. That's exactly how it feels to drive a Losi Promoto RC motorcycle.

The Losi Promoto-MX was the first RC motocross to accurately reproduce the full experience and pure fun of driving a real motorcycle. Now Losi presents the Promoto-SM (SM = Supermoto) for the street for model sports fans and motorcycle enthusiasts - the most authentic supermoto experience ever offered with a remote-controlled motorcycle.

The Promoto-SM is particularly suitable for concrete, asphalt, gravel and other hard surfaces in residential streets, parks and parking lots. The main differences from the Promoto-MX include new Pro-Line Racing OE (Original Equipment) SM street tires on smaller rims, a more powerful front brake caliper, and revised crash bar rollers. The Promoto-SM can lean more than its motocross counterpart, and the crash bar rollers reduce noise and provide better traction on hard surfaces.

The Losi Promoto-SM also looks like a true supermoto bike. Its distinctive visual details include handguards, a shortened front fender, and officially licensed FXR graphics and rider gear.

What the Promoto-SM has in common with the groundbreaking Promoto-MX is an innovative blend of mechanical and electronic technology, tuned together to provide a realistic driving experience that no other RC bike can match. Electronics include a 2700kV motor and steel flywheel, both mounted in the center of the frame. The motor spins the flywheel at over 22,000 RPM to generate gyroscopic force for unprecedented stability. Patent-pending Spektrum MS6X technology receives your control inputs from the Spektrum DX3PM transmitter and directs the Promoto-SM to lean, corner, and perform wheelies with unprecedented balance and finesse.

The mechanical technology is equally impressive. The Losi product development team studied the suspension geometry of full-size motorcycles to give Promoto RC bikes the same handling characteristics. A progressive rear suspension provides superior grip and prevents bottoming out on jumps. Their all-new front fork design with an internal spring and damper can be tuned by changing the silicone damping fluid and also allows for ride height adjustment. An innovative front and rear braking system provides impressive stopping power and halves stopping distance compared to using just the rear brake.

Both technologies, electronic and mechanical, are the reason why the Promoto platform performs better at high and low speeds than any RC bike to date. With the Losi Promoto-SM, there is now an RC bike that really works - with asphalt-ready performance and supermoto style!

Start Driving:

1) Turn on the transmitter
2) Switch on the motorcycle, (this procedure takes 3 seconds), the transmitter will now indicate the condition of the motorcycle battery!
3) Switch on the flywheel (switch on the transmitter, Flywheel on). The flywheel takes about 30 seconds to reach full speed)

Stop driving and switch off:

1) Turn off the flywheel, (switch on the transmitter, Flywheel off, the flywheel takes about 30 seconds to stop)
2) Switch off the motorcycle
3) Switch off the transmitter
4) Remove the battery from the motorcycle

The technique:

The DX3PM has three pre-programmed driving modes, which you can switch between "on the fly" with your thumb on the A/B switch.
Dirt Mode: Lets the Promoto-MX take jumps and obstacles but helps prevent wheelies by allowing it to go fast in most surfaces of mud, sand and slush.
Street Mode: Detects when the Promoto MX goes uphill and quickly pulls the throttle and brings the front tire back to the ground to get up to speed as quickly as possible.
Wheelie Control mode: Give it your all! Wheelie controls allow you to do wheelies on slippery surfaces at maximum speed!.

SMART Technology:

How much riding time does your bike have left? You don't have to guess the LED indicators on the DX3PM transmitter point you to a remaining capacity of your spectrum smart batteries! Using Spektrum Smart technology, you can see the most important Promoto-MX performance data while riding. Upgrade to the Spektrum DX5C or DX5 Pro for additional real-time telemetry information, such as: speed, power consumption, and motor and controller temperature.

Stability:

The gyroscopic stabilization force is created by the steel flywheel that is connected to the 2700 kV motor and rotates at over 22,000 rpm! This has a positive effect on the stability of the motorcycle. The flywheel unit is mounted as low and far forward in the frame as possible, so that it is possible to make small turns at very low speed, but is also very stable and remains stable during jumps, etc.
