TPS0708 Walbro K3-WYTA Spiral Diaphragm, Set
Original Walbro K3-WYTA Spiral Diaphragm Set
Rising ethanol levels in gasoline remain the main cause of the deterioration of the rubber diaphragm parts of the carburetor.
The diaphragm pump parts in the carburetor ensure a constant fuel supply to the engine. The membrane opens and closes once with every stroke, so it is important that it functions optimally! If this is not the case, the consequences are: poor starting, less power and constantly adjusting the carburetor settings!
This Walbro's K3-WYTA Spiral Diaphragm kit allows the carburetors to be overhauled and future diaphragm failures caused by ethanol and aging can be eliminated. This new set is totally insensitive to the effects of ethanol and has no aging effects like the rubber version.
The Walbro Spiral Diaphragm set K3-WYTA has two main components: the diaphragm and the spiral. The membrane has a high-quality Teflon film in the center and a Mylar carrier for mounting. The stainless steel spiral provides structure and support for the membrane. When the diaphragm is moved by the engine vacuum, the coil transmits this movement to open or close the fuel supply by the small valve.
The engine will start better, respond faster to the throttle, deliver more power and no longer need to constantly adjust the settings!
Mounting;
- Remove the carburetor from the engine and clean it
- Now remove the entire pump ball by means of the four screws
- Now remove the small valve with spring via the cross head screw, NOTE! keep your finger on it, the spring under the valve is under tension!
- Replace the original valve with the one supplied in the package, and screw the Phillips screw tight again
- Normally no adjustment of the height of the valve is necessary, (height difference carburettor rim and valve is 0.55 mm)
- Now place the assembled diaphragm on the carburetor in one go, as in the packaging, ATTENTION! Be sure that the composition remains as it is!
- Now replace the rest of the pump ball and holder.
Suitable for all Walbro carburetors in our range and comparable.
If you do not have the knowledge and skills yourself, we will do the assembly professionally and free of charge. We will also calibrate the Spiral Diaphragm set and pop-off pressure for optimal performance. We charge the normal shipping costs for returns with a barcode.
