This Power Switch is a small microprocessor controlled on / off switch with battery capacity monitor and low voltage protection. Due to the metal housing with mounting brackets, silicone cover, silicone cables with universal plugs, waterproof, extremely durable and reliable. A simple push of a button controls the switch without any mechanical movement. You can read the remaining battery capacity via three colored LEDs (green, yellow and red).
- Green means 70 to 100% remaining
- Yellow means 45 to 70% remaining
- Red means less than 20% remaining
This switch also has a low battery voltage mode, which is adjustable in steps of 0.1 Volt between 3.5 and 10 Volt. When the value you set has been reached, the switch will briefly warn (0.1 - 0.2 seconds).
It is essential for proper operation and protection that you make the following settings!
We recommend the following values;
- 2S Li-Po, (between 5.8 and 6.2 volts)
- 2S Li-Fe, (between 4.6 and 5.2 volts)
- 5 Cells NiCd or NiMh, (between 4.4 and 5.0 volts).
Setting Low battery voltage mode at 4.5 volts, for example (5 cells NiCd and MiMh):
- 1. Press and hold the Push button for at least 5 seconds until all three LEDs flash simultaneously, release the Push button, the Green LED flashes,
- 2. When the Green LED has flashed 4 times (is 4.0 Volts), press the Push button once briefly, and the Orange LED flashes,
- 3. When the Orange LED has blinked 5 times, (is 0.5 Volt), press the Push button once briefly, and the Red LED flashes,
- 4. When the Red LED has flashed 1 x, press the Push button once briefly, now the switch is programmed and switches off.
Setting Low battery voltage mode at, for example, 5.1 volts, (2S Li-Fe):
- 1. Press and hold the Push button for at least 5 seconds until all three LEDs flash simultaneously, release the Push button, the Green LED flashes,
- 2. When the Green LED has flashed 5 x (is 5.0 Volts), press the Push button once briefly, and the Orange LED flashes,
- 3. When the Orange LED has flashed 1 x (0.1 Volt), press the Push button once briefly, and the Red LED flashes,
- 4. When the Red LED has flashed 1 x, press the Push button once briefly, now the switch is programmed and switches off.
Setting Low battery voltage mode at, for example, 6.2 volts, (2S Li-Po):
- 1. Press and hold the Push button for at least 5 seconds until all three LEDs flash simultaneously, release the Push button, the Green LED flashes,
- 2. When the Green LED has blinked 6 times, (is 6.0 Volts), press the Push button once briefly, and the Orange LED flashes,
- 3. When the Orange LED has flashed twice, (is 0.2 Volt), press the Push button once briefly, and the Red LED flashes,
- 4. When the Red LED has flashed 1 x, press the Push button once briefly, now the switch is programmed and switches off.
Setting Low battery voltage mode multi cell:
- Nicad/NimH: Voltage of the number of cells divided by 1.35
- LiFe: Voltage of the number of cells dividing by 1.3
- LiPo: Voltage of the number of cells dividing by 1.2
