Futaba Magnetic RPM sensor set SBS/01RM
The Futaba SBS-01RM magnetic RPM sensor makes it easy to read RPM on the transmitter. Simply connect the sensor to the S.BUS2 port of the telemetry-compatible receiver, and the bi-directional communication ensures that the data is sent directly to your Futaba T-FHSS or FASST transmitter.
Magnets mounting:
- Mount the first magnet with the active side to the sensor at the desired location of the rotating part, this can be done by gluing with 2-component glue or epoxy. The second magnet should be mounted in the opposite position to ensure balance. Make sure that the magnet with the non-active side points in the direction of the sensor, since the measurement will then be incorrect. This is easy to check in the manner described below.
Sensor mounting:
- The sensor must be mounted in a stable place, with or without the supplied holder. The distance between the magnet and sensor may be a maximum of 2 mm. After this mounting, connect the sensor to the module, and the module to an S.BUS2 port on the receiver.
Check sensor operation:
- When voltage is applied to the Sensor, the LED is on, no sensor signals are sent.
- The sensor only works when the active-side of the magnet is facing the sensor. You can check this by moving the magnet past the sensor.
- If the LED is blinking, this is the active side. Mark the active magnet side with a marker so that the assembly goes smoothly later.
