With extra strong drivetrain components such as the viscose torque differential, super durable composite gears with internal damping and all-metal drivetrain, the HPI Baja 5B is ready for your choice of 23 to 32cc two-stroke engine. The HPI Baja 5B SBK is also equipped with oversized and super strong suspension parts, with great HPI durability! With its expertly engineered molded composite suspension plus extra-long adjustable HD shocks and solid three-piece nylon beadlock wheels, this Baja 5B SBK is ready for racing at full speed on any off-road track! The 4mm thick 6061 aluminum Monocoque chassis gives the HPI Baja 5B the classic desert racing buggy look. Precisely bent to shape for maximum strength, the chassis forms the mounting points for the engine and suspension and forms the backbone of the car. Precise steering is provided by a double bell rack and pinion with camshaft type servo saver. Aluminum parts are anodized in cool bronze and the classic Baja Desert Racer clear polycarbonate body is included in the HPI Baja SBK kit, ready for your custom color scheme with your Lexan color of choice.

Chassis Design:

The narrow Monocoque chassis made of rigid 4mm 6061 aircraft aluminum gives the HPI Baja 5B SBK a classic desert Race buggy look and extreme stiffness and durability. The U-shaped chassis is protected at the rear with a thick plastic skid plate for extra protection of the engine and drivetrain. The tube roll cage is made of impact resistant nylon and has a real aluminum roof to continue the classic look. The roll cage is fully functional and protects the engine and interior from crash damage. The roll cage, radio box, body panels, wing, underbody and gearbox are all mounted with quick access clips for easy maintenance.
