Zenoah G270 Falcon3 with RedRace2 Ignition
Top of the range Falcon3 engines are the ones which also have the RedRace2 race ignition professionally installed. With the RedRace2 ignition you get a power increase, on top of the already very powerful Falcon3 tuning, of at least 15%!
The smooth power band is at your demand at any speed, at any RPM! We assemble all parts with great precision and use only TPS high quality gaskets. This way you get a reliable and fuel economical power engine that delivers when you need it! The Falcon3 tuning has been copied a lot, but the knowledge and precision is the X-factor that distinguishes the real Falcon3 from the rest!
RedRac2 Race Ignition:
The heart of the ignition is made up of 3 high-quality parts. To start, a balanced and machined Ikeda 60 mm rotor, completed with tow high quality CNC machined parts. The three parts are assembled by special connecting forms to make it one stable unit. The special shape of the fins on the front and back give more than adequate airflow for an efficient cooling. The optional carbon Air Duct plates also provide a Turbo function, so the air is accelerated. The weight of the three-piece rotor is 200 grams, not much lighter than the original flywheel, but the smaller diameter and enhanced timing is a gain of at least 18%, This is an advantage in the whole RPM range, but of course, a very fast engine even can give more gains. Tests showed that the engine runs unstable, (also at idle), by using a lighter rotor. Therefore we choose te keep the weight close tot the original flywheel.
The three-piece rotor is mounted on the crank shaft by using a special stainless steel. This material has been specifically selected so it can not affect the magnetic field of the rotor. The Ikeda HV coil is mounted on the cylinder with a special CNC machined bracket.

This all combined gives the extra buzz what others do not have. We give you the guarantee that this engine will not disappoint you. You'll be amazed by the smooth performance which is always there, this all combined with economic fuel consumption. We recommend for optimal use; PSR-2 Race Oil and TPS™ Air Filter Systems. This motor is suitable for all models using a BWS, Dynamic, LOSI, Zenoah, HPI Fuelie or CY engine.
Engine comes without clutch, Airducts, engine flange and exhaust.
This engine has the same installation dimensions as:
- Zenoah G230
- Zenoah G240
- Zenoah G260
- Zenoah G270
- Zenoah G290
- Chung Yang, Dynamic and similar
Installation in BWS, LOSI and TLR models:
If you want to install Zenoah motors in the mentioned models, you can replace the large engine cover with TPS7004 so that the mounting holes on the chassis match. However, there is also the possibility of assembling the Zenoah in its entirety, this i.c.m. another engine mounting plate. This is rotated 180 degrees on the carburetor side mounted.
You need the following gears:
- 18 gear: LOSB5802
- 19 gear: LOSB5804
- 20 teeth gear: LOSB5805
Explanation of different carburetors:
- WT990 without choke (standard)
- WT990BB without choke and ball-beared gas valve shaft
- WT990BBS without choke and ball-beared RVS 340 gas valve shaft, (recommended)
- WT997 with choke
- WT997BB with choke and ball-beared gas valve shaft
- WT997BBS with choke and ball-beared RVS 340 gas valve shaft, (recommended)
Engine running in:
- 1) Use 1:25 fuel mixture, 40 cc good quality 2-stroke oil on one litre 98 Octane fuel
- 2) Carb needles both 1 1/4 turn open
- 3) Start first time let it run at idle for 2 minutes until is had normal temperature
- 4) Run first tank of fuel normal but without reaching high speed, this will take approx 45 minutes
- 5) Let it completely cool down
- 6) Run second tank of fuel, now start reaching high speed shortly, this will take approx 40 minutes
- 7) Let it completely cool down
- 8) Visual check in exhaust port, check for leakage
- 9) Third tank drive it like you normal would do, but still reaching high speed shortly, but building, this will take approx 35 minutes
